From the Arctic to the Equator.

Diving is at the core of Arzucan’s scientific work. It is not only her greatest passion but also a critical tool for research on the impacts of human activities on marine ecosystems and megafauna.

The course of Arzucan’s life changed when she took her first breath underwater 9 years ago. Since then, learning from some of the world’s leading diver professionals, like deep wreck explorer Mark Powell, technical dive advisor Marc Crane, GUE instructor Richard Walker, cave explorer Cristina Zenato, and 5x world champion freediver Nataliia Zharkova, Arzucan has continued to expand her skillset underwater.

From drysuit diving under ice in uncharted Arctic waters at 80 Degrees North to decompression diving along the tropical reefs of the Equator, Arzucan loves nothing more than being submerged. Whether it be zero visibility in freshwater quarries in the UK, to strong currents in the blue waters of the Maldives, she feels at home in all water conditions.

With a passion for long dive missions in remote locations, Arzucan is also a qualified advanced gas blender and O2 service technician and holds certifications for First Aid and O2 administration.
