Arzucan is Co-Founder and Research Programme Manager of the Miyaru - Maldives Shark Research & Conservation, collaborative platform and research network bringing together scientists, conservationists and storytellers on a mission to study, document and further protect the shark populations of the Maldives.
Kogia
Arzucan serves as Science Communications Lead for Kogia, a non-profit oceanic media library and production studio dedicated to protecting marine life. Kogia’s mission is to transform the field of nature conservation communication through providing conservationists with access to free high quality visuals and impact-focused storytelling.
Sunfish Studio
Arzucan is the Founder and Creative Director of Sunfish Studio, a creative design studio that leverages communication for science, sustainability and conservation. From concept to creation, Sunfish designs, produces, and delivers bespoke communications solutions that inspire, inform and engage global audiences.
Anthroposea
Arzucan is the Co-Founder, Host and Expedition Leader for Anthroposea, a multidisciplinary initiative exploring the intersection of humans and oceans, with a focus on marine biodiversity, culture and climate.

A Social-Ecological Assessment of Whale Shark Tourism in the South Ari Atoll MPA
Studying the social, ecological and economic interactions between endangered whale sharks and increased tourism in the South Ari Atoll Marine Protected Area in collaboration with the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme and the University of Oxford.
Barba Norway: Arctic Sense 2021
Powered by the wind, Barba is an innovative ocean conservation platform bringing together researchers and storytellers with a mission to document whale populations and study the effects of climate change in the Arctic circle beyond 80 degrees North.

A multi-disciplinary research expedition supported by grants from the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers (RGS-IBG), the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the London School of Economics Department of Geography.
